Yep, I've seen this with XP Pro too. Keep Defaults will do
this sometimes (most of the time?) too. It still writes the stuff to the SU
file, but the three fingered salute is required to kill SmartCAM. As far as
the Group palette, it doesn't happen every time to me. I haven't figured out
the sequence of events that lead to it, but I also haven't spent much time
trying. I just save often ... just in case.

Hi All,
Our Freeform seat has recently been installed
on a brand new Dell with
WinPro 2K and it freezes in the strangest
way. You can still group
elements with the litttle popup
grouping toolbar, but all functions on the
main window are greyed out and
you basically have to kill FF in the task
manager and restart Freeform a
few times until it allows you to work, right
up to the next
freeze.
What's up with that?
Task Manager says Freeform is
still running, but that's about it.
I've seen postings for win2k in
th epast, but not quite like this.
