Did you do a typical install or custom install?
The first time I installed using typical I had nothing but problems, I then removed program and reinstalled using custom.
Since doing this 3 months ago Smartcam has run great with no lockups.
Here are the directories I used.
C:\SM11
C:\SM11CFG
C:\SM11CFG\HOME
C:\SM11CFG\KEYDIR
