This problem has been seen in here many times. At one point it seemed too be centered around dell computers. The only way I was able to solve this problem, which you are probably not going to like, was to do a total clean reinstall of win2k. Then BEFORE putting any drivers or any other software install SmartCam then continue on with the rest of driver installs and so fourth. I was able to fix the problem this way and it has run perfectly ever since. Just as a note we have twin dell machines and my other cad person did a reinstall to fix his problems but he did not install Smartcam before all the other drivers and he is still dealing with the lock ups on keep defaults. I know this may sound like a pain but it is worth it in the long run I promise. Feel free to call with any question on this. It very sensitive on when you install SmartCam.
