There
is probably something up with your drawbar. Check the oil level on the
power pack up on top; the oil level may be low, or if the oil is seriously
mucked up, change it.
Even more likely is that your Belleville washers
(dish shaped things about 3-4 inches in diameter) are cracked and need
replacemnet. These things will continue to work if only a few are cracked
(there are usually about 10 of them face to face), but eventually when enough
are busted, your tool change will fail exactly as you have
described.
