I've been a SC (FFM andPturning) user off and on
since '92 mainly 2 axis milling and turning and never really had enough
demand or experience with 2 1/2 or 3 axis milling to become
profficient. In fact I havent programmed much at all the past
couple of years as I became a machine shop supervisor (nothing but grief)
and then transfered to a proto-type design group for remote field
machining equipment. Guys in the shop are now using FeatureCam
with no knowledge of SC. After looking at the front end of ACAD and
S'works for past couple of years I recently loaded FreeForm and I hate to say it
I'm stumbling through the menus and icons. I've exported what I'd used to
call a fairly simple solid to ACIS 2.1 and IGES formats and can
import either into FreeForm......thats where it ends. enough of my
jabber....anybody out there got a minute to give me a few pointers on getting
some toolpath on surface of part? I can send it in whatever format.
Thanks, Mac
