The newsgroup alt.comp.periphs.mainboard.elitegroup is the motherboard
newsgroup for ECS. I did a quick browse of it. It's low activity, and
has lots of spam, but it might be worth a try. I also did a quick search
of Google groups using the search terms: ECS motherboard. Two other
newsgroups (high activity ones) stood out: alt.comp.hardware and
alt.comp.hardware.pc-homebuilt.

One of the main benefits for me of Google Books is identifying
particular books that are especially helpful. For example, for Linux
topics, time and again Google Books has led me to "Linux Administration
Handbook". On hardware topics, Google Books has made me aware of many
books that I had not heard of, and that are not carried in chain
bookstores.
