Regarding cheap internet connection: Another option you may want to consider is a broadband connection from LocalNet. They use Time Warner's cable lines as the delivery mechanism but you would only have to get the very basic of cable packages to make it work. To do this you must connect yourself, and be able to solve your own connection issues... they provide limited technical assistance during regular business hours only. The cost of Time Warner Cable and LocalNet service runs us a total of $65 per month. (I think it's $20 for the cable and $45 for the internet). I don't know if that's cheaper than naked DSL or not?
