Microcenter's have a nice Build It Yourself section with a wide range of hardware and tools. Unfortunately the closest one is in NJ and Long Island.

Subject: [mhvlug] Computer HW, where to go?
Someone asked me if there was a place to go where you could walk in a buy a CPU and motherboard.
I recalled that "Corcut City" when they existed had such parts, but they are no more.
Radio Shack does not deal with parts as they once did...
So is there a place in Duchess that one can get computer parts?
And ( here is the kicker ) not get ripped off?
Joe
