The problem with Fry's is that they are RENOWNED for doing the following:
- Sell $PRODUCT
- Customer_1 takes $PRODUCT home, finds it is defective
- $CUSTOMER_1 returns product
- Fry's re-shrinkwraps $PRODUCT
- (optional) Fry's may or may not label the product as "open box"
- Fry's sells defective $PRODUCT to Customer_2
And, as a perk, if they marked the product as "open box", it generally has a
sticker which says "no returns, as is".
So, after being by this process maybe three or four times in a little over a
year when I lived in CA, I stopped going to my local Fry's and instead went to
the Micro Center 200' away from Fry's. :-)
Cheers,
D
