Excellent question. Oddly just this week I had a friend call to see if

Yes, It is hard to pay for store front overhead.
I have in the past called local PC Repair business for parts. It is a
hit and miss approach. With rapidly increasing hardware changes, and a
huge variety of CPU's alone, keeping stock to satisfy the masses, is
near masochistic to try and stock a decent selection.
I recently walked in All Computer Repair in Highland. I recall they had
a few shelf items at the time.
Good luck,
Newegg rocks!
And, since they have a shipping location in Edison NJ, most of MY purchases
from them arrive next day, for "standard UPS" shipping. Yes, Newegg rocks
hardcore.
