The population seems to be more-or-less constant around 2/3 megaham. The
*increase* in recent years may due to a bunch of folks getting cozy with
the disaster preparedness concept.

There is absolutely no way to measure the number of *actve* hams in that
population. For example, I'd claim to be active, but it's almost
entirely APRS and short-range intercom while on the bikes, so I might
not appear where anybody would be counting.
