Uhhh.. no. :) The stuff I bought is rated 1100 or 1300.. (I admit it, just looked at the picture and thought I had it.. sorry!!!)
I have a part # here somewhere.. I think? Nope, I have an old catalog page
instead. Crap. You know, if the archives worked, I could search for it...
;)
I don't see it in the search @ McMaster, but it was the same stuff
visually, silver reflective in color, rated to 1100 or 1300*F radiant, 3'
lengths and various diameters. Fairly affordable too, as I recall, like
$3.50 a piece or something for the bigger stuff. Bums me out that I can't
find it as I want to order some more of the smaller stuff for brake lines
on the V8 car. They had sizes that fit perfectly for the brake lines and
the 3/4" stuff fit around the heater core hoses enough to block 75% of the
surface, the other 25% being against the firewall so not such a big deal.
I haven't had any problems with the stuff and it looks somewhere between
stock and rice, not too bad really. Given the other shiny bits underhood,
it blended in.
Seriously, if you can get the archives working, look around 11/2004 thru
6/2005 for "mcmaster" and "split loom".. there is a chance you'll find the
part number. I had an offlist discussion with Matt Yates that referenced
it, but I didn't include the part #'s, only the catalog page that is now
something else. :( If you really need it, I can dig in my files at home, I
bet I have the paper receipt. Let me know and I can digging this weekend.

Really? That stuff is rated for 257F, which I'd hope the heater hose can
stand on its own.
Thanks to all for the help, knowing that I can bend the pipe is most of it.
I'll probably put on the TDR blanket anyway, since keeping exhaust heat
off the intake plumbing seems a good thing (though I have a Randall
duct, which will help).
