Thank you Bill for finally putting some logic into this post.  Adding  
additional solenoids is not a fix.  The car did start from day one the  way it 
left 
the factory so it really shouldn't need anything  else.

Easy  test with a test light. Run your test light from output of ign
switch to  top terminal on solenoid and try to crank. If it lights,
you've got voltage  loss in between. Could be connections, could be
clutch switch. If you test  from input of ign switch to top of solenoid
it will also test the ign  switch for voltage loss. Do same test on
ground side from neg term of  battery to case of starter. If it lights,
you're losing voltage on the  ground side.
