That was sort of where I was headed with this... but that seems a LOT lean. For a track day a while ago I added 6 points of fuel across the board on the Sub to get me from 12:1 to 11:1 on my WBO2, and it only dropped EGT's around 100*F average..

RE: EGT differences
Isn’t cylinder 4 known to run a little lean and a little hotter than the
others??

Total SWAG, but perhaps the injector in the higher temp cylinder is
partially clogged therefore leaner therefore higher EGT?
Have you pulled those plugs to compare coloration?

EGT differences
Hi All,
As I'm driving around with my new plugs and wires, and not detecting
any missing, I'm seeing that my #1 and #4 EGTs are different by about
150 degrees F. One will be about 1200F, the other about 1350F. Does
anyone else have probes just outside of #1 and #4? Are you too seeing
numbers like this?
What's weird is that before I changed the plugs and wires, the
readings were within 25F of each other (basically within a needle
width or my optical margin of error). I've only been doing Lambda
tuning and haven't started to play with the ignition values (just made
sure that they are the 1.6 defaults as listed on FlyinMiata).
Insightful comments appreciated. ;-)
Mark
