Since gas spiked over $3/gal a year ago I get lots of emails from my site about the process to retrofit a?1.3 Festiva engine in order to get 40+ mpg.?I know what needs to be done and what parts need to be fabricated.? SOHC. ?65 hp.? 5000 max rpm .??Once someone drives a low reving 65 hp engine surely they will be disappointed. The best 96/97 Festiva engines are 11-12 years old now and finding a good used one can be tough. Is there a real market for a $200 retrofit kit?
