Avg speeds are unknown as of yet... I merely am using HP as a mention to note that speeds into braking zones will be higher. I've been considering an xp10/xp8 setup like it seems a few run. But I also loved cobalt spec VRs when I was tracking my civic. I guess I need to find a nice price point also. It appears that xp10/xp8 packages can be had for ~210? I haven't found pricing yet for equivalent cobalts yet. I'm realizing that brake balancing and such on the miata's is something I haven't looked into much... I've been building up the car and leaving this for last basically. I think at this point... I don't need the absolute most amazing pads... but I did eventually end up with the spec VRs from cobalt in my civic and they were fantastic. I went from Axxis ultimates to gt sports to spec Bs to the spec VRs. Not sure I need that many adjustment steps this time around... so I'm curious about other peoples pad choices. I prefer a pad a hair easier on rotors with a decent life. As I'm not racing and merely out for the fun of driving... but I drive it hard. Any thoughts/opinions would be great to hear :) I saw Keith's update to this while typing this up, and he covers it. More HP will make that difference... even with a slower driver... the car will be faster (at least on straights and into hard braking zones :p ). -Dave On Thu, Jun 5, 2008 at 10:45 AM, Flash. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I just switched from hawk blues (very hard bite, worth about 3-4 weekends > at bfr, a notoriously tough track for brakes) to carbotechs.
