Hmm, I don't think so.   Were talking over 1000 psi at the  injector.  Just 
about every hp pump that I know of is mechanical.  An  electric pump might work 
but would draw huge amounts of current and  probably wouldn't last very long. 
 
 
I just can't believe that Mazda spent huge $$$ to designed a motor that is  
only used in two vehicles with no provisions for a rwd platform.  This  motor 
just screamed for a  mx5 chassis from the beginning.   This could have made the 
best mazdaspeed mx5 to date IMHO.
