FCM bumpstops will definitely contribute to the problem - they're intended to increase compression travel. What happens when you get too much compression travel up front? The tire rubs. Been there, done that.

I agree with Keith that if the unibody/subframes are not tweaked it likely is a bump stop or upper perch.
