When you have legislation like the kind that started this thread in the first place, I believe that you're wrong...it's *definitely* a political issue. In particular, it's the actions of government impeding on the personal choice of individuals to protect them from themselves--with, IMHO, little evidence to prove the real worth of said legislation.
