Sorry
Collectively I am not taking the blame for the air in China. I don’t need
to be taxed and restricted because 3rd world countries pollute. I don’t need
to be held to a higher standard to allow 3rd world countries to develop
their economy by polluting.

Fair enough, but consider the implication of that argument. Let's say Mom
wants you to do the dishes, but you refuse because your brother has refused to
do the dishes. Now let's say your sister also refuses to do the dishes. No
one wants to do the dishes... So, before long, all the dishes are dirty, and
the sink is filled with dirty dishes. The same is true of environmental
cleanup. BTW, that "Chinese Air" doesn't remain in China... it gets carried
across the ocean and comes to knock on our doors. Pollution is a global
problem.
