You could try going even tighter on plug gap, might tell you if coil
packs are failing. Also, I wouldn't want to run that hot a plug on FI.
Go to a 6. NGKs getter colder as the number goes up. How about posting
or sending a picture of the wonder widget?

Subject: JR supercharger issues

A friend has a hotside JR supercharger that was installed on the car
when she bought it.

I am not really familiar with all the available JR goodies available, so
I'm not sure what all is installed. The SC has the standard pulley and
the car makes abou 5-7 pounds of boost.

Behind the passenger seat is a brain box that has a vacuum line feeding
it and a knob.

I'm trying to identify this hardware so I can get some documentation.

The car recently began hesitating and missing in boost. I found that the
coil pack was loose and replaced the plugs and wires. The problem
persists but is greatly reduced. I even went with a 0.035 spark plug gap
when installing the new plugs and used a 5 heat range plug.

Any ideas about what this hardware behind the seat is, or what to check
next?
