Don't be supercilious - I wasn't saying NJ will become Nazi Germany or Afganistan, I was making the parallel to illustrate the seriousness of that kind of teaching and, in the worst case, it's potential outcomes.
Do you think there was nothing wrong with what the schools did? Or that the real problem was that the public found out about it through an "unauthorized" release of information? As I said, I don't care what party they were singing praises to - it's simply not right. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, September 25, 2009 9:57 AM To: Jim Wilson Cc: [email protected]; 'Miata Powerlist'; [email protected]; 'Ross Kuhns' Subject: Re: NMC- Political Indoctrination of children Tin foil hat anyone ? Elementary school student taught the "Obama Song" Young elementary students were taught and required to sing "Obama songs" in school. One song that the children were taught quotes directly from the spiritual "Jesus Loves the Little Children," though Jesus' name is replaced with Obama's: "He said red, yellow, black or white/All are equal in his sight. Barack Hussein Obama." When asked about this the school superintendent had this to say "The recording and distribution of the class activity were unauthorized," wrote Christopher M. Manno, superintendent of Burlington Township School District, in a statement to parents. What? It shouldn't be taught in the schools - I don't care what president they're singing about.
