Elementary school student taught the “Obama Song”
Young elementary students were taught and required to sing “Obama s
ongs” in school. One song that the children were taught quotes direc
tly from the spiritual "Jesus Loves the Little Children," though Jes
us' name is replaced with Obama's: "He said red, yellow, black or wh
ite/All are equal in his sight. Barack Hussein Obama." When asked
about this the school superintendent had this to say "The recording
and distribution of the class activity were unauthorized," wrote Chr
istopher M. Manno, superintendent of Burlington Township School Dist
rict, in a statement to parents. What? It shouldn’t be taught in t
he schools – I don’t care what president they’re singing about.
