Sounds like a short - some bare wire touching metal to ground, allowing the
pump to run constantly when the key is in ON.
I'd trace back over the wires you were removing and see if any remaining wire
has the insulation scraped away.
...But the Keypad doesn't light up, so be certain it is plugged in.

Subject: non-starting link'd Roadster (NPC)

Hi Folks,

'91 Roadster w/Link ECU.
Just finished a cambelt change, car started and ran no problems for several
days. Last night I tried it and the fuel pump runs constantly on key "on", it
doesn't stop as usual after priming (Car will turn over). Keypad doesn't light
up, plugging the serialbox in doesn't make any difference.
I did some wiring changes under the steering wheel the other night (during
which I blew the Room fuse), but mostly just redundant wire removal.
Where should I start looking for the source of the issue? Possible fuse
blown/relay dead?
Many thanks,

Steve
