Got the car started this eve, I'd taken out every fuse without finding the source, then did a 2nd round of wiggle testing.. "clunk" + keypad lights up and displays RPM window! Continue wiggling, can't get it to go off again, I've reviewed all the wiring down there so hopefully I'll have seen the end of it (touchwood, salt over shoulder, etc).
Thanks for the suggestions, Steve On Wed, Mar 2, 2011 at 8:15 PM, Stephen Rigley <[email protected]> wrote: > Forgot to mention, I can hear the relays clicking when I turn the key to > on. > Anything I changed wiring wise the other night would have been wideband, > stereo or foglight relay related. > > Ok, I've had a look and renewed the ECU ground mod to engine block ground > strap, am getting power on white/red at ECU, then bypassed immobilizer relay > and the spark plugs are dry .. well.. at least 1,2 & 4 are, 3 isn't coming > out yet, I have it soaking in WD40. > > Steve > > > > On Wed, Mar 2, 2011 at 11:35 AM, Tony Cooper <[email protected]>wrote: > >> I believe it is a ground problem to the link ECU. >> >> I vaguely recall that the link will run the fuel pump indefinitely when >> the ECU grounds are removed.
