1955 – Chuck Berry releases his single, "Maybellene" b/w "Wee Wee

1958 – Ersel Hickey and The Four Tophatters appear on American
Bandstand.
1962 – Marvin Gaye releases his single, "Stubborn Kind Of Fellow" b/w

after being photographed in London's Hampstead Heath with a 58-year-
old unemployed van driver.
2008 – On Long Island in New York, singer Connie Francis is
hospitalized after falling down, and is found to have "dangerously
high blood pressure."
2008 – Kid Rock pleads no contest to one count of battery and is
sentenced to a year probation and fined $1,000 for his part in a fight
in an Atlanta waffle restaurant in 2007. The 37-year old also receives
80 hours community service and six hours of anger management
counseling.
2008 – Madame Tussauds unveils their waxwork model of Amy Winehouse.
2009 – Bob Dylan is picked up by police in Long Branch, New Jersey,
when they get a report of a man "acting suspiciously." The young
police woman doesn't recognize Dylan, and he has no I.D. on him. Dylan
is finally taken to his hotel where they vouch for him.
2010 – Surgical instruments allegedly used to conduct Elvis Presley's
autopsy are removed from an upcoming auction amid doubts about their
authenticity. Expected to fetch around $14,000, the claims are
questioned after another employee reveals that the equipment was
sterilized and used again in other autopsies.

1977 – John Bonham, Zeppelin manager Peter Grant and security man John
Bindon are arrested for assault backstage at the Day On The Green
concert in Oakland. An employee for Bill Graham Productions slapped
Bonham's son, Jason, when he took down a dressing room sign. Bonham
kicked the employee, but later Grant and Bindon found the employee in
a backstage trailer and beat him bloody.
