1967 – Eric Burdon and The Animals cancel their show at the Ottawa
Coliseum in Ontario at the last minute over a fee dispute, causing the
ticket-holding fans and concert-goers to riot.

1969 – Jim Morrison allegedly pulls out his penis on stage in Miami,
Florida. The incident, which never happened, will follow Morrison to
his death, and it will take the State of Florida 41 years to pardon
the singer and clear it from their books.
1970 – The Ed Sullivan Show hosts the “Beatles Songbook” tribute to
the group, with performers Dionne Warwick, Peggy Lee, Duke Ellington,
Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, and The Muppets all singing Beatles
songs. The Beatles also appear on the show, via film, for the last
time, performing “Let It Be” and “Two Of Us” in clips from their up-
coming Let It Be movie.
1970 – Mott The Hoople, with opening act Genesis, appears at the
Northcote Arms in Middlesex.
1973 – "Colonel" Tom Parker sells Elvis' back catalog for $5.4 million
to generate some quick cash for his client. He also renegotiates
Elvis’ RCA contract, landing another seven-year, fourteen album deal
for $3.5 million.
1973 – Twyla Tharp and the Robert Joffrey Dance Company premiere Deuce
Coupe Ballet at the City Center for Music and Drama in New York, based

arrested for shooting her live-in lover, skier Vladimir "Spider"
Sabich, when he attempts to kick her and her children out of his home
in Aspen, Colorado. She will serve less than 30 days in jail.

weapons possession and bribery trial, testifying that he wasn't
carrying a gun and never offered a $50,000 bribe to driver Wardel
Fenderson to take the fall for the weapon found inside his Lincoln
Navigator. Instead, Combs tells the jury that he thought the bullets
were intended for him.
2011 – Keith Richards’ 25-year old daughter, Theodora, is arrested in
New York for defacing public property with graffiti and possession of
drugs.
