Prince's The Hits/The B-Sides is a 3 disc set - two discs of hits and one disc of single b-sides. I have it. I'm pretty sure The Hits disc(s) were released later because the 3-disc set was too expensive and you had to buy the whole package to get just the hits. I'll look into that further, though.
