I'll give a fresh listen sometime after the sun comes up today, and get back to you. I remember liking the CD a lot, just haven't heard it in a few years (fukk me, it's 9 years old already!?!), so need a refresher. I've been a fan from back in the day, as well, altho' Ray's true genius (the one that I think makes him = Brian) probably wasn't apparent to me until I bought The Kink Kronikles (in the 8-track cut-outs!).
Everybody clamors for McCartney & Wilson (even given the lukewarm "A Friend Like You"), but I think a Davies & Wilson kollaboration (sic) would be WAY more interesting.
