Thanks. I'd tried git clone git://repo.or.cz/r/microdia.git before as suggested elsewhere and had that fail on me pretty nastily as well. Might want to update the download and installation instructions to be clearer about mirrors and the like. The git documentation isn't terribly friendly on why things go wrong.
In any case, thanks. git clone git://repo.or.cz/microdia.git works perfectly. I'm running Debian Etch right now, though, which is running 2.6.18. I might need to either upgrade to Lenny or just try to upgrade the kernel to a newer supported version.
