All, I have just returned from the Southeast Green Power Summit at Coronado Springs Resort, Walt Disney World.
An excellent DVD video was shown after the banquet: "Kilowatt Ours", produced by videographer Jeff Barrie. This important video (38 minutes) focuses on energy conservation, global warming, and renewables, such as wind and solar. The Director of "Clean Cities" calls it "One of the most important stories of our generation". This video is a project of "Trust for the Future", a 501(c)(3) no-profit educational organization. "The goal of this initiative is to reduce electricity consumption in the Southeast U.S. to the national average (a 25% reduction), one home at a time. There is an introduction with the destruction of mountaintops to get more coal to meet energy demands. This is an excellent way to show the public an effective video that can convince them to reduce energy use and make better energy decisions. Go to http://www.kilowattours.org/ to assess the video (which also contains a 65 minute version), and see how you might further this campaign, Frank Leslie Contact information: Mr. Jeff Barrie, P.O.
