Hi,
For some time now I've been unable to work around a compilation
problem on RH 5.2 - it began with version 1.2.3 RPMs, when
mysqlclient library could not be found, and now I have exactly the
same problem with the monster Apache RPM for 1.2.5, on a different
machine with RH 5.2 installed. Following advice, I exported the
LDFLAGS variable to make sure it's available, but it does not help.
This a fourth or fifth time I stumble against this, and I have no
idea what might be wrong: the library, correct version, is there for
sure, the LDFLAGS variable certainly tells 'configure' to look for
it at its location, everything seems OK. If anyone might offer a
clue, I'd be very grateful. If that someone could provide a
step-by-step instructions of what and how should be modified, I'll
write an ode to him/her and tatoo his/her name on my chest :)
