Yup, you're right. Jeez, this is our most sloppy release to date. I'll get
it fixed tonight.

No -- this file is a socket provided by mysql to allow connections to the
database. Midgard only uses it, and indirectly, since this ought to be
handled by libmysqlclient internally.

MySQL ought to have created it, you'll have to look at the mysql
configuration.
