As I said, I already made it compile. I have now new versions of lib,
mod and php in the right places and no stale old things around. I
removed authentication of the root page from httpd.conf and try to
restart apache (loglevel debug). It dies with:

Syntax error on line 74 of /etc/httpd/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/lib/apache/mod_midgard.so into server:
/usr/lib/apache/mod_midgard.so: undefined symbol: ap_pbase64decode

I am looking where this symbol is defined...
