*Laughing* I know there are two schools of thought on this. One seeks to measure stimulus response, the other makes comparative observation of neurosynaptic structure. I lean on the side of complexity of neurosynaptic structure. I don't worry about Lobsters because they have no pre-front lobes, or lobes at all, and therefore are incapable of the thought "I'm in pain!".
Problem solved...at least for me.
