" India has at least as much to fear from Al Qaida and its clones as
the west does."

Today's news says that Pakistan, itself unable to fight the Taliban,
is now pushing the hordes into India. Their passage across the border
is being facilitated by the Pakistani army / ISI.

It seems that India has more to fear ... than the West.

And, it stands to reason : India has the second largest Muslim
population among all countries in the world ... these Muslims chose to
stay on in secular India at the time of partition, when they had the
opportunity to relocate to Islamist Pakistan. ( Google Mohajirs ...
people who shifted to Pakistan from India ... their status and
condition in Pakistan ... )

Muslims in India have given calls against " jihad." They can see the
difference between the freedoms and opportunities they have here and
the " girl whip lashing " and legal rape instituted in Pakistan.

The greatest fear is that Pakistan may go under in as little as 6
months, according to startegists I heard yesterday !

Historically, I find the West's attitude indifferent, even callous.
Only recently has it, especially US, woken up to the enormous and
rapidly changing dynamics spearheaded by the Al Quaida and Taliban.

It would take huge resources and perhaps decades for India to deal
with it. It's such a waste !
