I belive that one day perhaps we will achive this, but not before we all learn that our differanes do not matter.
The biggest stumbling block as I see it is the fact that we as a species die and then our young become the next leaders, round and round this circle goes, and hopefully in the fullness of time, out principles ar passed down to our youth, who in turn pass it along to theirs. The thing with this is it only takes one backwards step to derail the whole endevour, also for all that is fair and good that is passed along, so to do we pass down that which is it's opposite.
