You've spoken eloquently to your point, and I find no fault with your
perspective. I must, however, refer you back to the posting guidelines when it
comes down to the overall attacking nature of your post. Whether or not it's
accurate is irrelevant; it's personal, and that's the one thing we try to
curtail. It does nothing to further rational discussion.

If you feel a continued need to express these things to her, I would ask that
you attempt to either approach them with some mode of civility, or take them
off list. The only thing that seperates the Mind's Eye from Epistemology is our
attempts to keep the conversations more or less friendly, even in disagreement.

In the words of Francis, thanks for the flowers.

Aye, I've been an outlaw and then some but now I'm a reformed
evangelist for reality and truth. I've also enjoyed the duality of
my handle since adopting it, but more than gruffness, I've always
favored being the goat in the middle.

Well, you must consider the source though it seems Orn has tamed his
touch a bit.

Oh, I've no doubt she does but I find that no excuse. I tire easily
of people who live in denial and in denial of their denial. In fact,
I'd be more respectful if she knew she was pumping out first rate
bullshit. That would at least be real.

She reminds me, obliquely of course, of a man I've known for more than
forty years. Jan's life has been one colossal failure after another
and it's always been the other person's fault. He has driven away
anyone who has ever cared about him with his abject denial and placing
the blame on everyone else. This man is close to my age and in his
receding years has become purely mean and hateful, but it's still
everyone else's fault. Point out to him in an undeniable manner his
own responsibility for his life and he goes into a rage. I think his
only purpose in life is to prove that one may get from one end of life
to the other without ever dealing with reality.
