This is indeed the way things seem to be. Offten two people come to differant conclusions on the same subject, both argue that they are correct and both think that they are correct.
Lets take for example one of my personal faves. I say that that the idea of patriotism is a logical dead end, causes no end of problems and stops humanity moving forward.
