Precisely the point - the analogy about juries is a good one. If you have not
seen the movie I highly recommend you see Twelve Angry Men. It is about a 12
man jury who has to determine the guilt or innocence of an accussed murderer.
In the onset the purported facts point to circumstanation evidence of the
accused guilt. The first vote is 11 to one to convict. But one hold out is
doubtful. The rest of the movie you can guess.

Then there is another great film called Rashomon a Japanese classic. The story
line is simple. A bride groom is walking a horse upon which is the man's bride.
They are walking through a high wheat field. Suddenly a man jumps out - ties
the man and rapes the bride. Then we see a man who has been eating lunch
observing this dramatic scene.

The rest of the films are 4 different versions of the same story. Implied is a
fifth version which is the indivdual members of the movie audeince and their
individual interpretations of the same basic set of facts.

Call it objective and subjective if you will but there is no goetting around
the fact that it takes a person to identify a given fact and that person always
adds something of his self in interpreting the meaning of the selected fact. No?
