Come on. Someone has to win. South America has never had an Olympics. Time to
give them a chance.

Subject: [Mind's Eye] IOC Rebuffs Obama

I wonder if all the scandals and the recent street melee murder of a
student had any negative impact.
This past year Chicago has had a good share of indictments,
convictions, and front-page headlines. It's been one after the other
on top of Chicago's notoriety as a state of corruption. It's not like
the rest of the world doesn't know about it. This month has also
brought down the University of Illinois President Joseph White after
allegations of admissions corruption involving political connections
that favored less qualified applicants over others.
Obama has as well had his name tossed about during the Rod Blagojevich
investigation.

Do you think the Obama's were slightly in a state of denial in going
to Copenhagen to lobby the IOC?

If you were on the voting team would you have given Chicago any
consideration?

Should the IOC consider it's own reputation when voting?
