Well, I tried to point out a few, above. Let's see what responses
there are.
The basic difference is that Western peoples demand the right to
'sin', as it were. They want that choice to be able to act in a way
that might just be detrimental to themselves and/or others. Whereas
an Islamic government has the duty to discourage behaviours--even
prevent them, if possible--that are seen to be detrimental. And
Muslims, largely, don't understand why Western governments don't seem
to care about the emotional/spiritual well-being of their citizens.
