Not quite correct Ian. I made certian claims as to certian belifes I
hold. I also said that becuase of the sphere of 'knowldge' which we
are currently discussing that any claim must be treated as equal, as
there is no objective evidance one way or the other.

Obviously then it would be foolish of me to belive that this
'knowldege' has a higer degree of objective reality attached than your
example of how much morphine my body could take before death.

Take it then as a given then that I certianly do realise the diffrance
between them, or take me as a foolsih man.

The rest of your comments stem directly from your own atheism I
belive. Of course for the atheist matters of God are irrlevent, but
soft? No mate not for me and others like me.

Look at it in this way. I have a fave footie team that I have been
supporting since I was a little kid. I'm not that into footite but I
have a team never-the-less, I am delighted when we win and not so when
we loose, but all in all football is not that important to my life.

To others it is though.

You say conventialy, by which I guess you must mean according to the
ordianary, yet with around 80% of the worlds popultion professing to
some religoin or other then I guess a belife in God is both conventual
and conseqenstial.
