No, we're on the slide towards the end of the cycle.  Without giving
too much away, don't expect the universe to be around for 2200.  There
are no unnecessary events in the space-time continuum, so the 'trick'
is to know that and learn from what we do see in it.  As long as you
keep your own house in order, you'll be alright.  Plus, even the best
policeman in the world can't police the world.  There will be terrible
things and things will get worse, but my faith tells me that all will
be reversed in the next life.  For those with a scientific bent, you
must accept that for every action there WILL BE an equal and opposite
reaction and put your faith in THAT.  As far as 'authority' goes,
well, there is only One.  And to Him we will answer.  And those who
have perpetrated things that 'that One' finds intolerable will be
punished.  Have faith, Neil.  I know you do anyway, but you get
frustrated with the lack of care that people exhibit towards one
another.  So do I.  That's why I will shake them all with my book.
