OK, so you admit that you had no choice in being "given" free will. This can only mean that predestination, with regard TO free will MUST be the case. So, you KNOW, beyond any doubt, that predestination occurs. Could it not, then, be that the 'free will' you experience is NOT truly free will but something that so closely resembles it that, without careful inspection, might be confused with the real thing? Think about it. Only one event can occur at any one time (as defined by a temporal reference) at any one place (as defined by the 3 spatial dimensions). You can speculate, for example, that you could turn left, turn right or continue forward; however, when it comes time to act, you can only perform one action. That action is the action that has always existed in the space-time continuum. Your speculations about what MAY be are, in effect, irrelevant (as they themselves are just mental spatio- temporal events) with repgard to the action insofar as the 'action' has been a part of the space-time continuum forever. The space-time continuum contains ALL spatio-temporal events (by definition of being a continuum) and, therefore, precludes actual free will; but, it does not preclude the illusion of free will that is granted to humans because they can specualte about the future yet have no actual knowledge of what WILL be. The resulting 'choice' is practically the same for humans, but to God, the difference is huge. No God in Its right mind would EVER allow humans (or any creature without omniscience and a full understanding OF that complete knowledge) to make decisions that would affect the entire universe from that point forward, as all 'decisions' by their very nature, would do. > if we were all in some > state of constant possession , our actions being controled by god , > our existence would be meaningless , i am an individual and at the > same time a part of a single life force to which all life is a part , > and i am responsible to do gods will and how i choose to do that is > entirely up to me , as i walk this path i hopefully draw near to my > destination and purpose , when this purpose is fulfilled my life will > be cut short and i will be given my reward , or i will continue to > struggle and fruitfulnessly mingle -with my own frustrations -clinging > to me as an echo throughout eternity .
