Reverse Osmosis is where you are using pressure to force water through a membrane that purifies it or desalinates it ,, My unit is for a sailboat and can produce seven gallons of fresh water an hour.. more than enough to drink and provide some for neighbors also if needed. I became aware of it when i got a position servicing the units in hospitals they purify water to the lower viral scale.. the problem is it takes about fifty gallons of salt water to make one gallon of fresh water.
