Except I forget to mention the influence of war on modern surgery and reconstruction/rehab which has really blossomed and also aids accident and other victims of violence. Since the brain controls physical activities, this is a real blessing to tap into along with electronic or chemical aids to relearning basic skills, i.e. the less active hemisphere can come to the rescue.//I think a lot of activity crosses the median anyway as pure science can have real beauty and elegance.
