Actually, rather than the USA ‘starting out’ as ‘corporations’, it
started out as a direct attack upon enormous monolithic monopolies
(‘corporations’) such as the East India Trade Company and upon the law
of the land at the time. This historical civil disobedience was
AGAINST the relatively tax free distribution of tea in the Americas by
the East India Company. Such governmentally controlled favoritism all
but ruined the local businessmen. They revolted and destroyed property
resulting in having death sentences hanging over their heads the rest
of their lives.
