I think that women can be masculine and men can be effeminate, we've all 
seen it, folks that have a lopsided tendency toward male or female aspects, 
whether they are toward their own gender or the opposite.  But we each have 
both, to a more or less integrated degree.  They can be independent of 
sexuality or not.  Sometimes sexuality can be used in relationships to gain 
dominance or as manipulation.  why is a good question.
