I see no flash at all on Github (it is activated only on request on my
web browser) and CPU usage is almost zero. Some months ago I tried using
Github with Javascript disabled and it worked fine for
opening/commenting on issues and for browsing commits. I don't recall if
I tried pull requests too, but the message I got was that Github cares
about people who doesn't want Javascript.

Not that I'm suggesting a switch to Github...
